Scoliosis, kyphosis, and lordosis are all classified as abnormal spinal curvatures. To the average person, however, they can be difficult to discern. Below is a brief but helpful guide to help you discern the main differences between scoliosis, kyphosis and lordosis.
Scoliosis: The spine curves sideways forming a C or S shape.
Kyphosis: The spine curves outwards forming a "hump" main in the thoracic region of the back.
Lordosis: The spine curves inwards towards the body mainly in the lumbar region.
